Stainless Steel 430 Sheet is made up of carbon, iron, chromium, nickel, manganese, silicon, phosphorus and sulfur. It is a non â hardenable stainless steel material. The SS 430 Sheets contain straight chromium in them and they are called the ferritic steels. The material has practical mechanical properties that are much needed in forming, machining and welding applications. The ASTM A240 TP 430 Sheets have considerable corrosion resistance and formability. It is the molybdenum content in the composition that gives the 430 Stainless Steel Sheet the added corrosion resistant properties which otherwise are poor in ferritic steel types. The AISI 430 Sheets can perform to the standard specifications of ASTM A240. The pressure vessel rated sheet could also be used in general corrosive services.
